We're on the lookout for a versatile Backend Developer with hands-on experience in Java, Kotlin, and fullstack web application development, particularly using React. The ideal candidate will help us engineer top-notch backend services while also contributing to our frontend web applications.

Here’s what we’re looking for you to tackle:

Development & Architecture:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Java and Kotlin.
• Implement, optimise, and maintain APIs for our web and mobile platforms.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in frontend development.

Fullstack & Frontend Development:

• Develop and optimize web applications using React and other modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with designers to implement user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
• Ensure seamless integration between the frontend and backend systems.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of backend development experience with Java/Kotlin.
• Proven experience developing web applications using React.
• Demonstrable fullstack development capabilities.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development best practices.
• Deep understanding of database design, optimisation, and management.
• Proficiency with RESTful API design and development.
• Proficiency in modern frontend development, including CSS preprocessors, state management, and bundling tools.

Education:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
